The way this works is you choose what you want from a ticket vending machine, present the ticket to the person behind the counter, and wait all of, oh, 30 seconds before they present you with your meal.
In my case, a bowl of hot broth with noodles and a bowl of tempura don (shrimp and something tempura on a bowl of rice).
