IQ?

"The True IQ Test"
(URL removed - it's a marketing stint and after some thought I figured I don't want to encourage 'em.)

Congratulations, bopuc!
Your IQ score is 127

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the True IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Insightful Linguist. This means you are highly intelligent and have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind.

And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

I fear what else they may "know" about me... hahahaha. Silliness...

Comments

"You scored 131. That makes you a Creative Theorist. This means you are a highly intelligent, complex person. You are able to process information of nearly every kind with ease, using both creativity and analysis to make sense of the world. Compared to others you also have a very rich imagination."

Hmm, that's exactly what my fortune cookie said the other day!

"Your Intellectual Type is Visionary Philosopher. This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways.

Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others — and at anticipating and predicting patterns. And that's just some of what we know about you from your IQ results."

"Unlike Plato, however, you weren't drafted into military service during the Peloponnesian War, nor will you return to Athens and found your own academy. Sorry."

135: Your Intellectual Type is Visual Mathematician. This means you are gifted at spotting patterns.

Which is really funny since spotting patterns in large biological dataset is what I do in real life.

"Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others"

I wonder how they are able to tell something about my verbal skills based on an on-line test?!

Congratulations, "c"!
Your IQ score is 122
Your Intellectual Type is Facts Curator. This means you are highly intelligent and have picked up an impressive and unique collection of facts and figures over the years. You've got a remarkable vocabulary and exceptional math skills — which puts you in the same class as brainiacs like Bill Gates. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

They compared me to Bill Gates???!!! Hmph.

I couldn't find one marked "true IQ test" so I did the "classic IQ test." To wit:

Your IQ score is 135

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Word Warrior. This means you have exceptional verbal skills. You can easily make sense of complex issues and take an unusually creative approach to solving problems. Your strengths also make you a visionary. Even without trying you're able to come up with lots of new and creative ideas.

Hey, good thing I work as a writer!

Your IQ score is 131

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the True IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Visual Mathematician. This means you are gifted at spotting patterns — both in pictures and in numbers. These talents combined with your overall high intelligence make you good at understanding the big picture, which is why people trust your instincts and turn to you for direction — especially in the workplace. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

They spotted the right job, but this is way too optimistic (mostly regarding you, guys). Who would pay to have an IQ test of 75 (or even 100) printed? (15 pages, based on 40 questions... wow)
