Takeshi "Beat" Kitano as Zatoichi, the legendary wandering blind swordsman.
What a riot! I liked it a lot, despite the totally absurd tap dancing routine. ;)

Mie and I saw a preview of this when we went to Cigarettes and Coffee a couple of nights ago. I thought it looked really good! She didn't tell me it was a famous story in Japan though. I guess it'll be out in the backwaters of the Bay Area soon...
