I come by way of West of the Expressway with a question based on the assumption that the above image says you have (or are) downloading Ep. III of Star Wars.

If you couldn't download this film, would you have tried to find another means to see it for free or would you have paid to see the film at any point?

Your answer might shed some light on a theory of mine.

1- it's not about "seeing it for free"; I will absolutely definitely go see it in a theatre. It's about having a copy, right here, right now, cause I can.

2- If instead of only releasing this movie into crowded overpriced theaters, they also made a quality digital copy available for download for say $5, would you be coming here asking me silly questions as well?

3- what irony? Your logic is screwy. I make my content available with a CC "by-nc-sa " license. What I produce may be crap, but at least I am sharing. Unlike the makers of this movie.
Which is also crap. Entertaining to some extent, but crap nonetheless.

SPOILER: Darth Vader IS Luke's father.
